Top Tiger Program Recognizes Fastest Growing Companies Run by Auburn University Alumni

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 23, 2018 – MartinFederal was recognized as a 2018 Top Tiger nominee by Auburn University at an awards luncheon on Friday, April 6. The Top Tiger program identifies, awards, and celebrates the top fastest growing companies led by Auburn University alumni. 

Corey Martin is the founder, CEO, and president of MartinFederal. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, both in Computer Science, from the university. Founded in 2006, MartinFederal provides support to the federal government in the areas of cyber and systems security, enterprise and IT support, intelligence services, and programmatics.

Corey Martin said, “It’s an honor for our team to be recognized with such an outstanding group of small to medium size businesses.  Auburn’s creed says, ‘we believe in work, hard work,’ and I think it is that foundation that creates opportunities for growth.  Auburn has influenced our team in many ways, and it’s humbling to be recognized in such a way.”

The awards ceremony was presented by Auburn University’s Raymond J. Harbert College of Business, in partnership withBusiness Alabama magazine and Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors.

Top Tigers were determined by Warren Averett and are categorized by company size – small, medium, and large. To qualify for consideration, companies must be founded, owned, or led by an Auburn University alumnus; be in business for at least four years; have revenues of at least $500,000 by the end of the evaluation period (FY 2016); and operate in a manner consistent with the Auburn Creed.

Approximately 300 nominations were submitted for this year’s program. MartinFederal was recognized in the medium company category ($5 million to $35 million in revenue).
