David Mathis has been in the business community for 20 years. With nearly 25 years of banking experience, David previously served as co-founder, Senior Lender and Senior Vice President of ServisFirst Bank in Huntsville, Alabama. There, he worked daily with small to medium size companies to improve on growth, manage working capital, and develop cash flow strategies. Unlike traditional bankers, David and his former team were deeply involved in business development activities for their clients, helping them grow by making beneficial connections.
For the last 20 years David has focused on the government contracting community and was part of a team doing business with well over 100 small to medium size government contractors throughout the southeast. These contractors included a range of small, start-up technology contractors to companies with well over $100million in revenue. His experience in the government community and his business acumen aided his clients in significant contract awards within the Department of Defense, United States Army, Air Force, Navy, the Department of State, the VA, and many more, including several foreign acquisition and logistics opportunities.
David received his B.S. degree in Finance from Auburn University in 1993, and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University in 2001. He currently serves on the Huntsville Advisory Board of Directors of ServisFirst Bank and the Board of Directors and Executive Committee with the Southern Development Council, a Certified Development Corporation (CDC) specializing in Small Business Administration (SBA) lending. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Land Trust of North Alabama, Huntsville/Madison County Marine and Port Authority, Invest Your Life, and is a member of Rotary of Huntsville, and Committee of 100.
